Madzitatiguru - Candidate 2018
Madzitatiguru is a spoken word artist with a colloquial rhythmic use of language. Born Tendekai Tati in 1989, Madzitatiguru has been a part of the poetry culture since 2011, beginning at the House of Hunger Poetry slam. He recites what he calls ‘Urban-Anciet Poetry’ due to his blend of ancient and modern form of language, and has participated at a number of poetry events including HIFA , Shoko Festival and Intwasa Arts Festival KoBulawayo. He was part of Poetry Africa in 2012, and has travelled as a teaching artist around the world. Considered a comedian by some and a tragic rhythmic chaos by others, Madzitatiguru fancies himself an identity crisis on purpose, but he is a slam poet none-the-less |
