Emmanuel Muhire - National Ambassador
Born in 1989, Emmanuel Muhire known as Mwalimu LAKHPIN, is a Rwandan Poet, Songwriter, Theatre Director and Writer. He holds a bachelor’s degree of Education and Drama from the University of Rwanda. He is an active artist predominantly in Theatre of the Oppressed and has a track record of building programs that benefit emerging artists through his Creative Arts company “Lakhtrem” and by co-founding “Ingeri Arts”, a nongovernmental organization, a home for a wide range of local artists. Muhire has been the key person organizing Display Arts Festival for the last two years in Rwanda. He has been appointed to act as an ambassador of the Africa Cup of Slam Poetry for Rwanda.

Ingabire Jean Paul - Candidate 2018
INGABIRE Jean Paul < Barbon>a Rwandan poet and Dramatist, was born in northern province between two lakes, near volcanoes in 1989.He did his primary studies in a school of his native village where he started his poetic carrier while celebrating different school events. He continued his secondary studies at Ecole des Lettres de Gatovu and at Groupe Scolaire Officiel de Butare in the southern province of Rwanda where he did Arts and Languages, which deepened his passion in Literature and it helped him win different competitions in both poetry and creative writing. He did his university studies at Kigali Institute of Education (KIE)where he followed English and Drama ,and since then he got inspired in both writing and directing different Drama pieces as well as Dramatic poetry. He taught Languages and Literature at Sonrise High School and Ecole Secondaire Islamique de Ruhengeri and has been Artistic Director at Musanze Culture Centre. He leads artistc workshops and trainings on Dramatherapy, Theatre of the oppressed, Dramatic poetry as well as Rwandan culture and Traditions. He is the co-founder of Ingeri Arts organization which promotes Artistic and cultural Education in Rwanda. He has won SIGA poetry contest in 2017 and will represent Rwanda for first edition Africa Cup of Slam Poetry in Chad. |
