Nontobeko "Ntobie" Ndzabukelwako - National Ambassador
Born 24 January 1995, Eswatini born Nontobeko 'Ntobie' Ndzabukelwako is a spoken word poet based in the vibrant city of Manzini. Ntobie, who has a colorful way of delivering her poetry, was born and raised in the small township of Helemisi in Manzini. Her journey with spoken word poetry took off in 2012 under a production themed, “The Cry on the Cross.” This was followed by a string of performances at church gatherings and several poetry shows hosted at the University of Swaziland. Her varsity days were not only instrumental in shaping her artistry, but they were the building blocks of her poetry career.
The self-taught poet is proficient in bringing her words to life when performing as her poetry appeals the ear. Drawing inspiration from everyday experiences, Ntobie writes about spiritual and social issues with the aim to tell stories and also to inspire. The last few years have seen her gain access into the corporate world, with her most notable performance being at SADC Heads of State Banquet. Ntobie also performs at church gatherings, poetry shows and weddings.
